I have completed training approved by Dona International, and I am currently working on my official certification.  I draw on my professional training, knowledge and experience to provide you and your partner emotional support, physical comfort techniques to ease labor pain, and as needed communication with the staff to make sure you have the information that you need to make informed decisions.  I will help you keep focused on your birth plan, and redirect you if that is what you prefer for me to do.

I can provide reassurance and perspective to you and your partner, make suggestions to help labor progress, and help with relaxation, soothing touch, massage, aromatherapy, positioning and other techniques for comfort.

I am independent and self~employed.  I have an NPI number,(National Provider Identifier), which means you may be reimbursed for all or part of the doula fees through your insurance.  As your birth doula, I am working for you, not for your health care provider or hospital/birthing center.
